Melancholy Electro & IDM

Slow-burning electro for after dark. Steady, mid-tempo rhythms (90–134 BPM) and minor-key melodies that build patiently but rarely resolve.

For empty streets, long drives and the quiet after something has gone wrong.

ABOUT LOWFISH

Image of Gregory De Rocher AKA Lowfish

Known for his unique flavour of melancholy ambient electro and timeless, moody, early-Aphex-inspired melodic IDM, the Lowfish catalogue spans 30 years with releases on Suction Records (Toronto), Ersatz Audio (Detroit), Satamile Records (NYC), Analogical Force (Madrid), Hymen Records (Germany), Noise Factory (CAN), Vynalogica (NL) and Awkward Silence (UK), plus compilation appearances for Ghostly International, Lo Recordings, Crème Organization and Turbo Recordings.

Lowfish's music has been licensed to 30+ television programmes in 22 countries, many still airing 15 years on, with additional library and sound-design work for Nickelodeon, BMG and BBC One.

Eight albums later, Lowfish still makes his music the hard way: TR-808, Jupiter-6, System-100, the odd Moog, and analog delays.
